Kampala capital city Authority (KCCA) has partnered with the Uganda people’s defense forces to cover all potholes in the city ahead of the two conferences expected in Uganda next year.
In January 2024 Uganda is set to host the Non Alignment Movement (NAM) and the G77 plus china conference at speke hotel in Munyonyo.
Now the executive director for KCCA Dorothy kisaka revealed that they are to maintain, rehabilitate and upgrade 15kms of various roads that include Mukwano road ,Ggaba road ,Cape road ,Salama road ,Mobuto road ,Prince badru kakungulu road among others .
She also disclosed that government already provided the development budget that is worthy shs 78bn to ensure that roads are in good shape hence the cause to partner with the UPDF engineering brigade to ensure that all potholes in the city are filled to make roads motorable.
Kisaka also appealed to bodaboda riders,hawkers and vendors to adhere to their guiding regulations and also vowed to deal with all those who built in wetlands.
