The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) have embarked on the preparations of conducting the Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) next week.

This comes after the Senior Four candidates are completing their compulsory subjects today with English papers and starting off the selective papers tomorrow.

Jennifer Kalule Musamba, the UNEB Spokesperson while addressing the press at Police Headquarters in Naguru, noted that PLE preparations have began with the board officials meeting the personnel contracted to monitor and supervise the PLE exams from 7t to 9th of November this year.

The number of candidates registered to sit this years PLE examinations stands at 749,371, which is less by 83,438 (10%) of the number of candidates who sat for PLE last year.

On UCE, Kalule says they are intensifying security measures to ensure that good work done to date is not compromised and warning against any involvement in forms of malpractices.

Meanwhile, UNEB is monitoring the Social media platforms to deter any form of sharing and distribution of fake UNEB examination papers following the arrest of one Fresh Karim, who was last week arrested in relation to the criminality.
