Ugandans are encouraged to embrace tree planting to conserve nature and at the same time promote domestic tourism in the country.

To embrace this, the Uganda Tourism Board-UTB and several tourism enthusiasts have organized a four day trip to Lake Mburo National Park, in Nyabushozi County, Kiruhura district to promote domestic tourism in the country.

This has been announced at the Uganda Media Center in Kampala by Wilson Kajwengye, the Nyabushozi County Member of Parliament who represented the Minister for Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities during the launch of the “Love in the Wilderness” trip to Lake Mburo National Park which starts on Valentine’s Day on February 14th 2024.

Kajwengye has implored Ugandans to plant trees and desist from killing wildlife, as they are some of the country’s major tourist attractions.

Kajwengye also pledged Government’s support for every policy intended to promote the tourism sector because of its tremendous contribution to the country’s economy.
