The longer awaited Catholic Television in Uganda has finally gone on the airwaves running testing signal.

According to Fr. Phillip Odii the man behind its start, who is also the executive secretary Social Communications Commission at the Uganda Episcopal Conference, the Catholic Television is coming to bridge the gap of Catholic identity in the field of Tele (audio-visual) broadcasting in Uganda.

It went on air on February 5th 2020 the feast of St. Agatha a day that has gone down in the records of the Uganda Episcopal Conference.

Riding on her slogan “Good News for All” the Catholic Television will enrich the economic, political, social, cultural and all aspects that shape human life basing on the social teaching of the Catholic Church.

Fr. Odii says currently the Catholic Television is running on free to air decoders on channel 161 and any one can send or make merry wishes through the CTV.
