Three suspects have been arrested for allegedly gunning down a security guard as they perpetrated an aggravated robbery at BanxeleForex Bureau Kabuusu branch in Rubaga division.
The suspects are Hussein Sebuma also known as Obote, David Dumba and Abdullah Juma while the victim is identified as Peter Agama, 36 affiliated with Wolves Security Group.
Luke Owoyesigyire, the Kampala Metropolitan Police Deputy Spokesperson says that immediately after the incident that happened yesterday in evening, the assailants were armed with a rifle rode off their motorcycles but were pursued by the security officers until they apprehended them in Kawaala zone at Premier Betting.
He says that two firearms were recovered during the operation along with 23 rounds of ammunition including those belonging to the deceased were recovered and investigations are ongoing.
Owoyesigyire confirms that the deceased bore three gunshot wounds which together with other exhibits recovered from the crime scene are to be used as evidence in this investigative process.
