A sum of UGX 5 Billion has been earmarked for the construction of a New Parish Church as St. Jude or Judas Thaddaeus Nagulu in Nakawa Divison Kampala Archdiocese.

The New Church will be able to accommodate more people than the existing old one including pilgrims who frequent the parish to pray through the intercession of St. Jude.

This has been revealed by the parish priest Fr Godfrey Kyeyune, during the feast day of St. Jude that is marked every October 28th and as we talk they are looking for UGX 2.5 billion within two weeks from now to start the construction works since they already have over one billion shs on account.

The celebration was led by one of the Exosist from Kampala Archdiocese Fr Raymond Kalanzi, under a heavy down pour Fr. Raymond baptized a couple of Mr Anthony Kusaasira and Mrs Judith Tumusiime Kusaasira who prayed through the intercession of St. Jude to get a child and got triplets who have also been baptized today and also gracing three couples with the sacrament of holy matrimony

In his homily Fr Raymond urged the congregation to pray fervently through the intercession of St Jude to save the country Uganda from troubles and suffering many are facing that are mainly social and economic.

He said there is too much suffering in the world because of complacency many have replaced God with material wealth, education and western culture that contract with the social teaching of the Catholic Church.
