The Institute of the Good Samaritan Sisters of Nalukolongo has held its annual institutional event where Reverend Sisters professed their first and perpetual vows while others celebrated Jubilee years of service.

The institute on Friday received six newly professed sisters in a closed session at Nalukolongo.

The big celebrations will be held on Saturday December 7, 2019 where five sisters will take their perpetual vows while four who include; Sr. Specioza Nakabugo, Sr. Emily Namatovu, Sr. Agiricola Byarimpa and Sr. Gorret Nakanjako will celebrate 25 years of service.

The Good Samaritan institute was founded by the late Emmanuel Cardinal Nsubuga in 1978 to care for the elderly and the most vulnerable who have no caretaker.

The Saturday event is expected to start at 9.30am with mass at the Bakateyamba Home Nalukolongo led by the Archbishop of Kampala Dr. Cyprian Kizito Lwanga under the theme; “I will be with you as I was with Moses; Joshua 1:5”.
