Kenyan celebrated law Professor Patrick Lumumba says Africans need to start producing what they need, in terms of goods and other utilities to solve their problems instead of importing them from foreign countries.

He says many of the challenges affecting Africans at this time of age can be solved if the available resources on the continent are put to proper use.

He revealed this while presiding over the 6th graduation ceremony of the International University of Eastern African (IUEA) as the keynote speaker.

The IUEA university chancellor, Central Bank Governor Emmanuel Tumusiime Mutebile commended the technological creativity exhibited by students at the university some of which, he says will help in solving some problems faced by farmers, patients seeking medical assistance and in preserving the environment.

Over 400 students from at least 42 countries have been conferred with diplomas, degrees and masters’ degrees in various academic disciplines at the ceremony held at the IUEA main campus in Kansanga on the outskirts of Kampala.
