The Joint Security task team investigating the violent murder of Ronnie Mukisa, a clerk at IBC Advocates has detained their own Senior Police Officer for allegedly hiring his gun that was used in this murder plot.
Mukisa is said to have been trailed and shot dead on my 31st at his home at Kitiko- Birongo village, Ndejje Division of Makindye Ssabagabo Municipality in Wakiso district.
According to Police, the detained officer is identified as Superintendent of Police (SP) Vincent Irama, the Deputy Regional Police Commander (RPC) Kampala North attached to Kawempe Police Station.
The officer was arrested with three other suspects that include Robert Karedou Irama a businessman, his wife Brenda Cathy Nalwoga and Corporal Max Geoffrey Anyuse who is a UPDF deserter from Operation Shuja.
Fred Enanga, the Police Spokesperson says it has been established that SP Irama has been a longtime friend to Karedou and wife and they could use him whenever they had business misunderstandings with other people while Corporal Anyuse was self-employed bodyguard to Karedou.
Enanga says that the investigation task team composed of CID, Crime Intelligence and Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence (CMI) who has for the last 11 days been investigating the murder of Mukisa, arrested the four suspects after conducting several analyses.
He noted that it was established that the deceased knew Karedou and his wife Nalwoga but they got a misunderstanding which forced the two to hire Corporal Anyuse as their assassin but they conspired with SP Irama by hiring his pistol which was used in the murder.
He says that the investigating teams first arrested a business man Karedou and his wife Nalwoga from their home in Kasana Village in Kulambiro where they recovered two magazines and military attires.
Enanga however condemned the indiscipline acts of security personnel involving themselves in such criminalities of murdering Ugandans as it was the case in the murder of Mukisa.
