The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has disassociated itself from the statement making rounds on social media that “Form four candidates failed this year, UNEB Examinations because teachers have not been teaching.

In a communication by the body’s spokesperson Jennifer Kalule Musamba, the statement is fake and that the public should disregard it.

Kalule says marking for the 2022 UCE examinations is still under way and will be preceded by a number of quality assurance processes before the final outcome can be determined before the official results of the 2022 Examinations will be announced to the general public.

She added that the UNEB Executive Director, Daniel Odongo who is quoted in the “Fake” statement, does not even have a twitter handle, calling on the public to remain calm as the Board finalizes the various processes before the release of results.
