Police responds to Gen. Tumukunde’s accusations of failed murder investigations

Police has quashed Lt. Gen. Henry Tumukunde’s allegations that they have failed to investigate and prosecute high profile murder cases that have been committed in the country.

This after the presidential aspirant attacked the force in regards to its handling of investigations into the murder of former Police Spokesperson Andrew Felix Kaweesi who was brutally murdered on March 17^th 2017 by unknown gunmen.

Gen. Tumukunde revealed this as he answered questions posed to him by journalists on why he was intending to run against his former boss, President Yoweri Museveni.

However, Police spokesperson Fred Enanga during the force’s weekly press conference at the Police headquarters in Naguru refuted the allegations and said a lot has been done to the point that some suspects were committed to the High Court to be tried for Kaweesi’s murder.
