Police have developed 12 other cases of aggravated robbery and burglary against the city Socialite Charles Orimu Charles alias Sipapa.

This comes after the Chief Magistrates Court in Makindye last week remanded Sipapa to Luzira after being charged with robbery of over shs1.6 billion belonging to a South Sudan national.

Sipapa was arrested earlier this week by operatives from the Directorate of Crime Intelligence over alleged involvement at the home of Jacob Arok, a South Sudan national, in Kawuku-Bunga in Kampala on the night of August 28, 2022.

Addressing a weekly press conference at Naguru, the Police Spokesperson Fred Enanga says that the new cases slapped on Sipapa were documented from the 12 crime scenes of aggravated robberies and burglary that happened within Kampala Metropolitan Areas from 2014.

Enanga says the figure prints and DNA samples by the forensic analysis from those 12 crime scenes directly connect to Sipapa after they were examined following his arrest.

Enanga has however appealed to the public especially those with complaints against Sipapa to reach out to the Criminal Intelligence Department -CID at Kampala Metropolitan police so that they can have their cases registered.
