Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja has ordered for an audit into the use of road funds disbursed to three districts of Greater Luweero for the last financial year 2021/2022.

The affected districts are Luweero, Nakaseke and Nakasongola.

In the said financial year, Luweero was given 316m, Nakaseke 272m while Nakasongola 286m to reconstruct and repair roads.

Flanked by eight ministers, PM Nabbanja held a meeting with the technocrats from the three districts on an inspection tour, where She expressed dissatisfaction on the accountabilities tabled by  Luweero engineer Robert Kalenzi, Steven Ssekayingo of Nakaseke and  Joseph Arinaitwe of Nakasongola.

Eng. Kalenzi of Luweero was so clear however His counterpart from Nakaseke Ssekayingo reported that they worked on 44 kilometers at a cost of shs272m.

In Nakasongola, Arinaitwe accounted that with the 286m, was used on three roads measuring 32 and a half kilometers.

PM Nabbanja was not satisfied with the three Engineers and ordered for a probe.
