The parliamentary Budgets committee has rejected the state house and office of the prime ministers budget meant for workshops and seminars.

The rejection was after the chairperson of the parliamentary committee on Presidential affairs, Jessica Ababiku tabled a budget proposing that 105bn for the office of the president and 3.97bn for the office of the prime minister be allocated in the coming financial year 2021/2020 for workshops and seminars.

However this received rejection from the budgets committee chaired by Patrick Isiagi and the Minister of Finance Matia Kasaijja saying government agencies should learn to adopt digital systems of holding workshops than going to hotels.

The committee also further rejected the budget of 1.3bnshs meant to monitor cabinet decisions, and other non productive activities under state house budget for the financial year 2021/22.

State house under the coming financial year needs over 400bn shillings to operate presidential activities.
