While announcing the results at State Lounge Nakasero, the UNEB Executive Director Dan Odongo says that more pupils especially in urban areas have qualified to join the post-primary institutions than the previous year.

Odongo attributes the performance to the teachers in the urban schools who tend to spend more time on tasks, and the learners spend more time in school.

He further says that the teachers in urban schools tend to adopt teaching methods that emphasize preparation of candidates for test taking and also a higher level of involvement by the urban parents in their children’s learning process, and urban areas generally have better access to facilities that supplement classroom teaching.
