Government has declared to recruit a total of 3096 Secondary school teachers in public institutions across the country.

 

Rev. Prof. Dr. Samuel Luboga, the Chairperson of the Education Service Commission (ESC) told journalists at Media Center in Kampala this morning that the exercise will begin with the 82 operational seed secondary school and each to get 31 staff that will total to 2542 teachers.

 

He says that the interviews for the recruitment exercise will be held from February 22 to March 13 this year.

 

Prof. Luboga say the already finished constructed 18 non operational seed secondary schools will have a total of 554 vacancies while the 16 existing government schools whose infrastructures have been expanded under the Uganda Inter- Government Fiscal Transfer (UGIFT) Program will have the recruitment in April.

 

Since the introduction of Seed Schools in 2010, government has to-date recruited a total of 9612 staff for at least 356 seed schools.
