Ministry of health has called for calm among bar owners that government is working on their reopening soon.

Dr. Diana Atwine the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of health while receiving Covid-19 equipment for Intensive Care Unit center, 60 million Shillings worth of donation from Uganda Breweries and Nile Breweries on Wednesday at the Ministry headquarters in Wandegeya, said that covid-19  is still in the country and people should desist from defying Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Atwine says government is thinking of reopening bars but due to fact that they have set dates for reopening of schools which are risky places, they can’t risk to add on bars at the same time although they are planning to do so very soon.

Atwine has applauded the two beer companies for the donation of important equipment such as  PEE and Radio Meter used in the ICU  that are all intended to save life.

On the same occasion Juliana Kaggwa from Uganda Breweries has disclosed that this effort is intended to provide help to poor Ugandans who lose their lives at ICU and more support is still needed.
