The Opposition in Parliament has threatened to make Parliament unruly if the government fails to produce the abductees of the National Unity Platform-NUP after the parliamentary recess.

Addressing journalists at Parliament on Tuesday, the Shadow Minister for Security and Presidential Affairs Derrick Nyeko said that they are fed up with the government’s empty promises of stopping NUP supporters from being abducted.

Nyeko who is also the Makindye East MP says they are demanding for an action from the government on the person issuing orders to abduct and kill the supporters of NUP.

Media reports have been indicating a dozen NUP supporters gone missing for two years after their arrest by security agencies with the party leaders insisting that the number is much bigger.

But the Security minister, Gen Maj (Rtd) Jim Muhwezi, denied having in their custody any NUP supporters.

Meanwhile, the Opposition has vowed not to submit the contacts of the relatives of the abductees as requested by the government in fear that these families could be threatened by security agencies.
