The Ugandan Opposition in parliament has asked the Kenyan citizens and government to disregard the alleged tweet posts by Uganda’s Commander of Land Forces, Lt Gen Muhoozi Kayinerugaba that looked provocative and insulting to their sovereign state.

On Monday, Gen Muhoozi tweeted that it would take his army UPDF two weeks to capture Kenya’s capital Nairobi which has attracted mixed reactions both from Kenya’s and Uganda’s intellectuals perceiving it as a disrespect to the independence of the two states.

Addressing journalists at parliament, the shadow minister for Foreign Affairs Muwadda Nkunyinyi said that it’s defeating for the person of Gen Muhoozi who is a serving army general and a son to the highly respected president in the region of East African region and Africa to tweet such undiplomatic statements.

It’s from this that Muwadda who is also Kyadondo East MP said Muhoozi’s tweets undermine the efforts of the East African integration, and sovereignty of the two states which may cause a rift between the two countries resulting in either a war or blocking the Ugandans transit of goods and services.
