The National Resistance Movement Party Electoral Commission has announced the party structure elections from village to district level come 2024.
According to the roadmap village elections will be held on 11 march 2024, parish level will be held on 18th march 2024, subcounty level on 25th march, municipality leaders on 28th march while the district level elections will be held on 1st April 2024.
Speaking to the press at the NRM party electoral commission headquarters the commission’s chairperson Dr.Tanga Odoi noted that they have started this process early to avoid complaints that have been received from various members that they have not given them enough time to campaign.
He elections budgeted at shs 1.3bn will be by lining up since it has been tested, cheap, easy and transparent.
Odoi emphasized that whoever will not be in the NRM voters register won’t be allowed to vote or stand for any position since all the voters registers will be digitalised and whoever is fully registered in the voters register will be uploaded.
He revealed that immediately after the internal elections, elections for NRM presidential ,parliamentary flag bearer, LCV elections , municipal mayor ,LCIII chairpersons ,All local government councillors ,special interest group committee and the executive committee of CEC and executive committee of special organs will be announced later.
