Religious Leaders have underscored the meaning of the “Call to Duty” in the theme of this year’s 36th NRM/NRA celebrations as a point demanding for accountability from all Ugandans more especially the leaders.

The Theme for today’s celebrations taking place at Kololo Ceremonial grounds goes;  The 36 NRM/NRA victory day a call to duty for all patriots to contribute towards Uganda’s social economic transformation.

The Archbishop of Kampala Rt. Rev. Paul Ssemogerere while leading the opening prayers for the function said a Call to Duty demands all, in this country to fight for the frights to; human life, freedom of speech and expression, employment for all regardless of gender or cultural background.

Archbishop Ssemogerere prayed for Ugandans never to lose sight of Uganda’s national motto and seek for God’s guidance to President Museveni and his entire cabinet.

Meanwhile Sheik Abudallah Ssemambo deputy Mufti of Uganda said 36 years of NRM/A should not be a mere celebration but to take stock for what has been achieved.
