The Security Minister General Elly Tumwine’s censor motion has caused division amongst Members of Parliament (MPs).

This follows a group of MPs who included Lwemiyaga County’s Theodore Ssekikubo, Buyaga West’s Barnabas Tinkasiimire, Rubaga North Moses Kasibante, Manjiya County John Baptist Nambeshe and Makindye West Allan Ssewanyana addressed media at parliament alleging that their fellow legislatures were absconding from signing on the motion which needs 145 signatures out of the 458 MPs.

They are shocked that even the Chairperson of the Parliamentary Humans Rights Committee Egunyu Nantume and the majority of the committee members haven’t signed on the motion yet it’s the same committee that tabled a report to parliament implicating Gen. Tumwine for violating Human Rights and stopping the committee from visiting all illegal detention centers as safe houses.

Ssekikubo believes that MPs that have refused to sign fear to be victimized by General Elly Tumwines lending company called Great Cash Resolutions from where they borrowed.

However, MPs threatened to display the list of signed legislatures before the media by Thursday next week for the public to know those that have absconded from pending their signatures and identify those that have signed.
