A group of the Democratic Party (DP) youth has stormed the party headquarters in Mengo disrupting the National Executive Committee-(NEC) meeting.

The members allege that the meeting is intended to sack Sulaiman Kidandala, the party organizing Secretary.

The NEC meeting is being attended by the party President General Norbert Mao, Alex Chesang from Sebei region, Paul Kakande the Publicity Secretary, the DP Secretary-General Gerald Blacks Siranda and Mukasa Mbidde among others.

It took the efforts of the Police that have deployed to keep calm at the meeting and youth Members have been asked to remain outside the headquarters.

Fatuma Nassali from Kawempe Corner Zone says they were forced to storm to meeting to support Kidandala. She says Kidandala is being fought because he is a People Power leaning supporter.

Ben Mukasa Ntale from Kawempe II Zone accuses Mao of disrupting the electoral process.

There has been confusion in the party when some registers were recalled by Kidandala saying they had been illegally distributed.

On Sunday, Mao issued letters to DP district leaders to disregard any other registers except those in white color yet Kidandala had issued green registers.
