The Buganda Road court grade one magistrate has ruled that the alleged text messages that the Kabalore District Woman Member of Parliament Sylvia Rwabogo claims Isiko Brian sent him are inadmissible or not accepted as valid by the court.

Her worship Stella Amabilis said this emphasising that Rwabwogo is not authorised by the computer misuse act to tender them in court.

According to Brian Isiko’s lawyer, Counsel Wasswa Ramandhan the case now lacks evidence to pin his client for having committed any crime.

Court has adjourned the matter to 3rd/12/2019

It’s alleged that between November 2017 and June 2018 at unknown location in Kampala, Isiko used a computer to send love messages, which were obscene, rude, lustful and indecent to the person of Ms Rwabwoogo and using SMS messages he repeatedly attempted to disturb the peace or right to privacy of Ms Rwabwogo without a legitimate purpose.

Isiko had initially been convicted and sentenced to two years in prison but he successfully appealed against the sentence and conviction on grounds that the first trial magistrate, Gladys Kamasanyu erroneously convicted and sentenced him.
