The Kampala Capital City Authority-KCCA is to prioritize technology this year as one of the ways people living in Kampala can get services easily.

In 2020 the Authority’s Executive Director, Dorothy Kisaka launched the Smart City campaign prioritizing three areas that include Leveraging Technology, Developing City Infrastructure and ensuring organized businesses prosper.

While meeting the Rotary Club of Kampala on the Smart City agenda and planned improvements in the city, Kisaka noted that once people get used to using technology complaints of corruption and bribes will be curbed especially in the area of getting building approvals where complaints have been heard.

She says KCCA launched 60 Applications that enable citizens to be served better and among others include; the smart permit, you can apply online and get your planning permit, pay revenue online, get your building permit and get sanitation help using their Weyonje App.
