The Katikkiro of Buganda Charles Peter Mayiga has challenged graduates to be more innovative through technology and research if they are to compete with the current market trend.

Katikkiro made the remarks while presiding over the 15th graduation ceremony of Buganda Royal Institute at Kakeeka Mengo noting that the increasing competition in the job market calls for innovativeness that will enable graduates achieve their goals.

He also warned them against bragging with their transcripts because having only qualification papers won’t yield results if they don’t match up to the work standards.

Mayiga further urged graduates to set tough targets for themselves and also safe guard themselves from Covid-19 pandemic and HIV/AIDs.

A total of 711 students graduated with diplomas and certificates in various technical courses, 444 of whom were females while 267 were males.
