Christians have been challenged always to do Godly things in order to enter the kingdom of God.

The Archbishop of Kampala, His Grace Paul Ssemogerere while delivering his homily during the requiem mass at Katende in Mpigi district for the late Rev. Fr. Arthur Richard Muwonge who succumbed to respiratory failure at Lubaga Hospital on Thursday.

He said that Christians should always do things that will enable them to enter the Kingdom of God as the deceased Fr. Muwonge has been doing by giving sacraments, prayers and many other good deeds.

Archbishop Ssemogerere adds that Fr. Muwonge has done his job as the Lord told him and God has decided to call him back and urged Christians to instead, pray for him to reach the kingdom of God.

Fr. Muwonge died yesterday and has been laid to rest at Katende Parish in Mitala Maria Vicariate where he has been the Parish Priest.

The Archbishop Ssemogerere has been assisted by Archbishop Augustine Kasujja, the Vicar General of Mitala Maria Vicariate, Rev. Fr. Denis Kizito Ssebunya, Priests from various parishes, Reverend Sisters, politicians including MPs; Hillary Kiyaga, Teddy Nambooze and Joseph Ssewungu Gonzaga among others.

Meanwhile, the medical team from Lubaga Hospital led by the hospital’s Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Julius Luyimbaazi revealed that Fr. Muwonge died of failure of respiratory organs after being given every medication to save his life.
