It is said almost 80% of the medicine used in Uganda comes from other countries including Chain, India among others.

While addressing journalists today at media center today Martha Grace Ajulong the Assistant Commissioner Health Services -Pharmaceutical supply Chain and Logistics at Ministry of health disclosed that Ugandans for the long time have been crying of fake medicine on the market which is dangerous to the human health as it could cause damages or organ failure or death.

Ajulong says they are developing a technology system which is going to monitor every step of the medicine from the manufacturing site until it enters the country because opportunists have been using that chance to smuggle fake medicine.
