The Shadow Minister for Local Government, Betty Ethel Naluyima has called on the Government to compensate all business persons who were affected by the recently concluded Non Aligned Movement-NAM and G77 plus China Summits hosted by Uganda.

During the preparations for the above summits, Government through the Kampala Capital City Authority-KCCA closed and chased all businesses that operated along the routes that were to be used by the summit guests mainly in areas of Entebbe, Makindye, Kabalagala, Kansanga-Ggaba road, Makindye-Salaama road among others.

Speaking to Naluyima, she says that now that the summits are done, Government should find a way of compensating the affected business owners especially now that schools are about to open and parents are looking for fees.

She further proposes that Government should compile a data base of all those affected by the preparations of the summits and either find them alternative places for operation or allow them return to their former places of work.
