The Buganda Road Chief Magistrate’s court has adjourned the case in which Ibrahim Musana commonly aka Pressure 24 Seven, a Tiktoker is accused of posting and sharing information that ridiculed and promoted hostility against the person of President Yoweri Museveni and Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II.

This adjournment came after the State Prosecutor Ivan Kyazze informed court that their investigations are still ongoing and needed more time to gather enough evidence that will pin the accused person.

The presiding Magistrate Ronald Kayiizi has agreed with the state and adjourned the case to 11th April 2024.

The 27-year-old Musana was on February 23, 2024, arraigned before the court over charges of promoting hate speech and spreading malicious information.

He denied the charges and was consequently remanded to Luzira prison since he did not have sureties present in court.

Prosecution states that between August 2023 and February 2024 in the areas of Kampala district, while using a computer via his Tiktok account, Pressure shared information which is likely to degrade or demean and promote hostility against four leaders including the Kabaka, Museveni, Speaker of Parliament Annette Anita Among and state minister for Information Communication Technology (ICT) Joyce Nabbosa Ssebugwawo.
