Government condemns hooliganism in courts of law

Government is to increase the security of judicial officers while executing their duties in courts of law.

This follows the throwing of bottles at the Buganda road court grade one magistrate Gladys Kamasanyu while delivering her ruling in the Dr. Stella nyanzi’s cyber harassment offence on August 2^nd 2019.

Speaking to the press at the Uganda media centre minister for constitutional affairs Kahinda ottafire revealed that they are to engage the chief justice Bart Magunda Katureebe ,the principle judge Yorokamu Bamwine and heads of security agencies and sort out the security measures but seriously condemned the attack on judicial officer

He has also supported the measures taken by police to secure the courts of law, vowing to deal with the 6 suspects that were arrested in connection to the attack on the magistrate.
