DP wants President Museveni to intervene in the rampant murders

The opposition Democratic Party (DP) has asked president Museveni to intervene in issues of killing Musicians because the police have failed.

The Kalungu West Member of Parliament, who also doubles as DP’s chief wipe in Parliament Joseph Ssewungu, told the media in Kampala at party headquarters today that various Artists have been killed and police has never come out with a clear report explaining their deaths.

Ssewungu adds that if president Museveni come on board all things will be okey and innocent musicians who have lost their life will get justice.

This comes after the death of a long time friend, musician and strong supporter of the People Power movement Michael Kalinda aka Ziggy Wyne yesterday who was kidnapped, on July 21^st 2019 and later damped at Mulago hospital on August 2^nd 2019 in critical condition due to injuries inflicted on him that included losing two fingers and an eye.

On the issue of police banning people from going to court wearing a political party colour  Ssewungu said the pronouncement made by the police spokesperson Fred Enanga was against the law although he condemned the act of FDC supporters who went unruly to the extent of hitting Buganda Road Court Grade One Magistrate Gradis Kamasanyu with a bottle of water as she delivered her ruling over Dr. Stalla Nyanzi’s case
