President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has revealed that his one year chairmanship of the third south summit of the Group of 77 and china will focus on three main issues that include production of goods and services, Market and improvement on public infrastructure.

 

He disclosed this while officiating at the closure of G77 and china summit that started yesterday at Speke Convention Centre Munyonyo saying that Uganda has indigenous production schemes that include cattle, coffee, banana, fish among others which need market.

 

Besides farming produce there is need to remain cooperative in producing goods and services as they increase production through industries.

 

President Museveni urged the member states to ensure linkage of the producers of goods and service with the consumer through infrastructure development that include; roads, railway, air and water transport but also ensure cheap and consistent power/electricity to stimulate industrial production and value addition among others.

 

Museveni has also emphasized the point of peace and stability in the member countries because it’s a major characteristic to drive the targeted major activities.

 

The third south summit of the Group of 77 and chine which started on 20th to 22nd January 2024 has been driven under the theme; “Leaving no one Behind.”
