The Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) plans to inquire from the Presidential Advisor General Caleb Akandwanaho also known as Salim Saleh on the authenticity of letters circulating on social media requesting for an apology from the Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago.

It should be noted that Gen Saleh has been purportedly writing chits revealing that he has been supporting Lukwago. However, the General said he is unhappy over certain comments Lukwago made in public and in one of the chits insists he intends to withdraw all financial and political support unless he receives an apology from the Lord Mayor.

Addressing the press at the FDC headquarters on Monday at Najjanankumbi, the Deputy Party Spokesperson John Kikonyogo says that they are interested in this issue and want to find out whether Gen. Saleh is the author of the letters or there is someone else using his name.

Recently, Lukwago refuted claims that he has been working with Gen Saleh, insisting that he has not met or had any handshake with him or those related to him.

Meanwhile, in the wake of the dilapidated health facility where ICT Minister Chris Baryomunsi was rushed when he collapsed over the weekend, the FDC says it reaffirms the need for  the Government to build well equipped hospitals at least for every district to save the lives of Ugandans who require these services.
