The opposition Forum for Democratic Change FDC is dissatisfied with the process of compilation and display of the voters register.

They allege that the electoral commission has excluded Ugandans who kept registering with the National Identification Number provided by the National Identification and Registration Authority (NIRA) on the voters register.

In a press conference at the party headquarters in Kampala the party spokesperson Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda noted that many Ugandans are missing on the voters register which sends a signal that a country will not have a credible election.

The party now wants the electoral commission to disclose the names and background of all officials appointed for the elections because there are romours that the whole electoral exercise has been left to the Resident District Commissioners and Internal security Organization.

This came as the Electoral Commission engaged the Inter Religious Council of Uganda requesting them to rally their followers to practice peace and respect the coming elections in 2021 because a lot of hate and mudslinging is taking place which can cost this country.

Meanwhile Nganda has congratulated south Sudan upon the formation of a unity government and they hope the peace deal will bear fruits challenging

president yoweri kaguta Museveni and his Rwandan counterpart Paul Kagame of Rwanda to borrow a leaf from South Sudan.
