The opposition Democratic Party (DP) has said that poor relationship between security forces and public has fueled insecurity acts in the country.

Opio Okoler the party sportsperson says that the rampant bombs attacks are as a result of poor relationship between security forces and public because people have a belief that once they report to police they will be arrested.

Opio adds that security agencies have to devise professional means on how they can extract information from the public if it’s to win its confidence in as far as community and human intelligence are concerned.

He has sent party’s condolence message to people who have lost their beloved ones.

He said this at their second and final day of registering interested candidates for the East Africa Legislative Assembly where the party requested Parliament to enact a legal framework that streamlines the internal party processes of identifying their flag bearers for EALA

Okoler told the press at Balintuma in Rubaga division that DP believes that the circumstances under which Uganda picks her representatives is marred with unfairness, connivance and ill intentions.

The ruling NRM Party has got six slots, one independent and two slots for political parties on the opposition, which are also determined by all members of parliament through an election what still involves NRM members.

So far the party acting secretary general Gerald Silanda, Mary Babirye Kabanda the former DP Women Member of Parliament candidate for Masaka city and Faith Namusana the former Party flag bearer for Ngora
