The Buganda Road Court has granted bail to the National Unity Platform- NUP supporter and also a renowned tik-toker Teddy Nalubowa alias Tracy Manule Bobiholica who was charged for celebrating the death of former security minister General Elly Tumwine. 

 

Teddy 27, who has spent three weeks on remand, has been granted cash bail of 500,000 by trial magistrate Marion Mangeni who also bonded her sureties at ten million shillings non cash each.

 

She has however been told to return to court on the 2nd November 2022 to check on the progress of police inquiries.

 

Prosecution alleges that on 23rd August 2022  at Ndeeba in Rubaga division,  without a legitimate purpose to  use a computer but with an intention of disturbing the peace of president M7,  Nalubowa  willfully and repeatedly posted  a video on her social media outlets  while celebrating the death of Gen Tumwine and further stating  that  President M7 will also die one day .

 

Gen. Elly Tumwine, one of the Bush war veterans died on 22nd August 2022 of Lung Cancer from Agha Khan Hospital in Nairobi at 68 years of age.

 

Nalubowa went missing on 28th August with several witnesses saying she was kidnapped by armed men driving in the infamous drone vehicle and believed to be from the Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence (CMI) around Masitoowa area in Nansana in Wakiso district.

 

The security agencies first denied knowledge of her whereabouts until 9th September when she was arraigned in court.
