The work of the Catholic Church through communication is not optional but demanded by God to evangelise the world through the mass media and instruments of communication.
The Bishop Chairman social communications commission Rt. Rev. Joseph Franzelli emphasized enthusiasm to inform the world without fear as the good shepherd does.
Bishop Franzelli says catholic media should be understood that it does not serve any political interest but to transform society and ensure integral development. He therefore appealed to government to give the church media special due consideration in its operation.
He later along with Bishop Kirabo handed over a drum the traditional symbol of communication to Kotido diocese the next host of the annual catholic communications week and certificates to the catholic communicators.
