His Eminence Emmanuel Cardinal Wamala has this Wednesday gone back to his parents’ home at Kamaggwa, Lwaggulwe Parish in Rakai district Masaka diocese to celebrate his 95th birthday.

In his opening speech before the beginning of the mass led by the Chairman Uganda Episcopal Conference, Rt. Rev Joseph Anthony Zziwa, Cardinal Wamala hailed his friends for the lovely gesture of organizing a party for him.

He later commissioned the ongoing construction of Kusoma Health Clinic Kamaggwa, which will be named after his late father, Mzee Cosma Kyamera, aimed at providing quality and affordable health care to the community.

He then thanked the new Archbishop of Kampala, Rt. Rev Bishop Paul Ssemogerere and Papal Knight Emmanuel Katongole for helping him on this journey of improving the health of the community.

He asked for God’s grace and prayers since he is the only child left out of the 8 children in the family of the late Kosma and Theresa Namayanja.

Bishop Zziwa said the Catholic Church and Uganda at large is indebted for the contribution of Cardinal Wamala and it’s worth his life to be celebrated.
