Hundreds of mourners have attended the burial ceremony of the late Rev. Fr. Bro. Anatoli Wasswa at St. Charles Lwanga Mother House of the Bannakalooli Brothers at Kiteredde, Masaka Diocese on Monday.

The function began with Holy Mass led by the Bishop of Masaka, the Rt. Rev. Serverus Jjumba who encouraged believers to know that if one understands the tradition of the Catholic Church, they can benefit more by serving God and his people.

He described Bro. Anatoli, a religious man who has kept the tradition of the Church as well as promoting the well being of people by celebrating the sacraments.

The Chairman Uganda Episcopal Conference, Dr. Joseph Antony Zziwa said the late Br. Anatoli has used common sense to teach people at Radio Sapientia, and evangelized by promoting traditional medicine in healing people from different diseases thus leaving a great legacy.

Meanwhile, the Archbishop of Kampala, His Grace Paul Ssemogerere who also graced the function, revealed that whenever Bro. Anatooli met Priests and religious men and women in different retreats, he encouraged them to be brave and fight evil actions amongst their subjects.

The burial of Bro. Fr. Anatoli Wasswa who passed away on January 3rd 2023 at the age of 96 was attended by many people who included; the National Unity Platform President Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, Leader of Opposition in Parliament Mathias Mpuuga, Kyotera Woman MP Fortunate Nantongo, John Paul Mpalanyi Lukwago, religious men and women among others.
