The Bishop of Lugazi diocese Rt. Rev. Christopher Kakooza has made 25 years a Bishop and 40 years a Priest.
Bishop Kakooza revealed this during the diocesan day celebrations today at lugazi cathedral.
Bishop Kakooza 71, was ordained a priest on 3 June 1983 at St Mbaaga’s Major Seminary, Ggaba, as a member of the pioneer class at that seminary, He was appointed Auxiliary Bishop of Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Kampala, and Titular Bishop of Casae in Numidia, on 2 January 1999.
Bishop Kakooza however hastened to add that he will not have pompous celebrations but he will join his celebrations together with the next diocesan day come 23rd February 2025. This is in the interest to avoid multiple contributions since the diocese will be looking for money to prepare June 3rd Uganda Martyrs’ day celebrations 2025 at the Catholic Shrine Namugongo.
He called for prayers for his celebrations.
