The Police have linked the recent attacks on officers to a political move aimed at collecting guns to rebel against the government and the force as well.

Fred Enanga, the Police Spokesperson says that their investigations so far reveal that the suspects conducting these attacks on police officers are politically motivated with a motive of collecting guns to revenge against government and the Police.

Currently, a total of six police officers have been murdered and six guns stolen in the last two months.

The recent incidents happened in Mityana district, Wamala region and at Nakasozi in Kiboga District where two police officers namely Corporal Francis Nsubuga and Police Constable Paul Luyimba were attacked and killed by gunmen and their guns were stolen.

Now, Enanga says that the Leadership of the National Joint Security Team has submerged and reinforced some of the police posts across the country.

Vulnerable Police stations to these attacks have been strengthened according to Enanga.
