The Archbishop of Kampala, Most Rev. Paul Ssemogerere has tasked religious men and women to preach the gospel of love and hope to people in miserable state.

He says many people are surviving on God’s Grace because they are going through challenging life situations that are full of poverty, displacement due to family wrangles, land grabbing and domestic violence among others.

His Grace Ssemogerere made these remarks at Christ the King Church in Kampala while leading the mass and witnessing the final professional vows of Sr. Florence Anyero of the Institute of the Daughters of St. Paul.

The Archbishop noted that people who are suffering can in most cases be helped by religious men and women who bear good fruits.

He advised Sr. Anyero to re-echo Pope Francis’ call of using media, to communicate the message of hope.

Sr. Florence Anyero is a daughter to Albino Onene and Mary Alanyo of Anaka Parish, in Gulu Archdiocese and serves in the Communication Department of Gulu Archdiocese.

The function was attended by the Second Vicar General of Kampala, Msgr. Gerald Kalumba, Fr. Remegius Sserugga, his assistant at Christ the King Church and other priests, Religious men and women and the lay faithful.
