The Archbishop of Kampala, his grace Paul Ssemogerere has asked Christians to always remain committed to the truth amidst daily challenges.

This was contained in the homily by the vicar general number two of the Archdiocese of Kampala, Msgr. Gerald Kalumba who represented the Archbishop at the cerebration of St. Charles Lwanga Mutundwe parish day today.

He emphasized the fact that the word of God is prophecy, it clearly tells the good and the bad, and this calls for discernment from the Christians to be able to listen to the voice of God in order to do right in ones daily life.

He says today many people love to hear prophecies, quick gains and happiness yet life of a Christian must face challenges like Jesus lived.

Uganda Martyrs; Charles Lwanga and his companions experienced the same but emerged victorious because their faith was tested but they overcame the challenges.

His Grace reminded the faithful that quick things don’t last and in most cases lead to death of both the body and soul.

During today’s mass, one couple received the sacrament of holy matrimony while 195 children were confirmed.

In the nine years of existence, St. Charles Lwanga Mutundwe parish which comprises of five sub parishes including St. Denis Mutundwe East, Mary Queen of Martarys Mutundwe central, St. Joseph Mukasa Balikuddembe ku ttaano, St. Gonzaga Kirinnyabigo and St. Mbaaga, has made tremendous acheivements.
