The Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) is still conducting investigations over allegations of mutual suspicion of acquiring Shs7 billion from statehouse by one of the top leaders to support political activities.

It is alleged that there is rift between FDC’s Secretary General Nathan Nandala Mafabi also the Budadiri West Member of Parliament and the founding father of the organization, Dr Kizza Besigye over reports of receiving a total of Shs7 billion in the run-up to the 2021 elections from mysterious sources linking to the Statehouse.

John Kikonyogo, the FDC Deputy Spokesperson says the party instituted a probe committee headed by Frank Nabwiso to investigate the allegations and produce a report on the effect within two weeks.

Kikonyogo says FDC has members that respect the party constitution and there are no funds from any source that can disorganize the party once received.

He further refutes allegations claimed that the party suspended its scheduled activities among them the structural elections that were supposed to commence in July up to November this year to first settle the said allegations.

However, Kikonyogo emphasizes that the party will ensure that the Nabwiso’s report findings are made public through the media for purposes of transparency.
