In the interest to keep the public and the entire country updated with the discussions during the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) and G77 plus China Summits next week,

Airtel Uganda has offered free internet and Airtime to all delegates and accredited journalists who are covering the conferences.

The package worth 50 million Shillings has been announced by Airtel Uganda Managing Director Manoj Murali, during a press briefing held today in Kampala at the ministry of ICT headquarters.

 

Murali said this is part of Airtel commitment to digital inclusivity and technological advancement adding that they have given out 500 SIMCARDS with free data and each journalists will be given Shs 50000 for Airtime.

Murali adds that Airtel Uganda’s role in the summit extends beyond mere technological support where they are to provide both 5G and fibre cable internet connectivity, to ensure robust, dependable, and swift internet service throughout the event.

Airtel  has also improved network performance along the Entebbe Express Way, around hotels hosting delegates and Mulago National Referral Hospital such that  each interaction, document shared, and video conference at this summit could be the catalyst for innovative solutions, life-changing policies, or transformative partnerships across the world.

Meanwhile The Permanent Secretary Ministry of ICT & National Guidance Amina Zawedde who received the items hailed Airtel Uganda for the support.
