Uganda Cranes new head coach Jonathan McKinstry has named a 25-man provisional squad for the forthcoming 2021 AFCON qualification games against Burkina Faso and Malawi next month.

The 25-man squad includes five locally based players who include Vipers’ red-hot striker Fahad Bayo, KCCA’s Allan Okello, Nicholas Kasozi and Charles Lukwago together with defender Halid Lwaliwa.

Swedish based striker Alexis Bakka is another notable inclusion having been part of the provisional squad prior to the 2019 AFCON tournament.

Uganda will play against Burkina Faso in Ouogadougou on 13th November before hosting Malawi on 17th November at Namboole.

McKinstry will be assisted by Abdallah Mubiru and Livingstone Mbabazi while Alexander McCarthy will be the team’s fitness coach.

Fred Kajoba will serve as the goalkeepers coach while Geoffrey Massa is the team’s cordinator.
