Members of Parliament are flocking the parliamentary lobby to append their signatures in the condolence book to honor the fallen Speaker of Parliament Late Rt. Hon. Jacob Oulanyah.

The Deputy Speaker Annet Annita Among is among the MPs who have appended her signature in the condolence book in honor of fallen Rt. Hon Speaker of Parliament Jacob Oulanyah.

The Former Speaker of Parliament and Vice President Rt. Hon Edward Ssekandi were among those who have signed the condolence book.

Shortly after signing the condolence book, the former Vice President Edward Kiwanuka Sekandi has described the late Jacob Oulnyah as a hardworking man who has served the country entire with all his might.

Mityana Municipality MP Francis Butebi Zaake says as the country mourns the late Jacob Oulanyah it is unfair to start showing interest in this vacant post, he calls for amendments of the parliamentary rules and procedures so that this act doesn’t repeat again.

He says Late Hon Oulanyah is irreplaceable, especially on his knowledge in the rules of Procedures and respecting the rule of Law.

He says if he was chairing Parliament the rules of procedures wouldn’t have been allegedly flouted at a time when he was being illegally censured from his post of commissionership.

Rt. Hon. Jacob L’Okori Oulanyah died on Sunday March 20, 2022 in Seattle America where he was rushed for specialised medication since March 3rd 2022.
