The Uganda National Examinations Board -UNEB has released the roadmap for conducting this year’s Primary Leaving Examination -PLE.

 

PLE is scheduled to commence on Monday 7th of November 2022 with the briefing of candidates and on both Tuesday 8th and Wednesday 9th 2022, the writing of their papers.

 

According to the roadmap, the week starting today, there will be briefing of District Monitors, security, Head teachers, district scouts and the chief invigilators.

 

The UNEB Principal Public Relations Officer Jennifer Kalule says on Tuesday 8th November, candidates will write Mathematics in the morning and Social Studies in the afternoon while Integrated Science and English subjects will be done on Wednesday respectively.

 

A total of 832,810 registered candidates are expected to sit this year’s PLE with 52 percent are females and 48 percent are males.

 

Meanwhile, at least eight cases related to examination malpractices in the form of impersonation and possession of unauthorized or smuggled materials in the examination rooms are undergoing inquiries and once completed, the files will be submitted to the Directorate of Public Prosecution -DPP for sanctioning.
