The Uganda national examinations board has released the 2022 examination calendar for all the three academic levels.

The calendar involves registration of candidates of which it will be done in three phases beginning 31Feb till May 2022 and on 1st to 31st June will be registration for those who will have missed with the extra charge of 50%.

Examinations will be done between October and December 2022 specifically UCE will commence on 14th October to 18th November 2022, PLE will begin on 07th to 09th November 2022, whereas UACE, will kick off on 18th, November to 09th December 2022.

According to the calendar released, January was internal preparations by Uneb, February commencement of normal registrations for 2022 PLE,UCE and UACE candidates, March to May closing normal registration, July to September display of candidates registers, and finally October to December field conduct of UCE, PLE, and UACE examinations.

Speaking at the press conference at Uganda media centre, the Executive Director UNEB Dan Odongo said that the registration fee remains the same for all the levels where PLE fees are UGX 34,000,UCE UGX164,000, and UACE UGX 186,000.

Odong adds that UNEB has already warned schools from increasing fees and such offence attracts a heavy penalty of imprisonment of ten years or paying a fine of forty million shillings as according to UNEB act 2021 section 33.

 

Mean while Odong says validation of examination centre is ongoing in this month of February while the 3rd phase will take place in April 2022 so schools that wish to apply for new centres are encouraged to apply online for consideration.
